In memory and honor of Jonathan Blais who passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2007, The Ryan Family has teamed up with Walt's Wharf Restaurant to raise money to fight ALS, MS, and to aid Challenged Athletes. On June 24, 2007, they were joined by a group of Blazeman Warriors, for the first annual OC BLAZEMAN Triathlon. They have raised over $30,000 as a team and welcome your donations. Jon "Blazeman" Blais, a long-time multisport athlete, was recently stricken with the insidious disease ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). That did not stop Jon from reaching his dream as he completed the 140.6 mile Ironman World Championships in 2005. He is an inspiration not only to our family, but to all who hear his story. Jon is a role model and lives by the mantra "Life is not a dress rehearsal-you've to to live in the moment". Like Jon and other ALS warrior poets, we ask you to live in the moment and come take part in an event for a cause bigger than yourself. If you are interested in participating in this event ,all it takes is a donation. Everyone who donates will be eligible for an OC BLAZEMAN bib number 179 in honor of Blazeman as well as purchase an event t-shirt. Go to EVENT INFO page to find out more. For more information feel free to contact the Ryan Family at triryans@gmail.com
